Jason Pallas: memorial portraits
Our first challenge given by Jason Pallas himself and was rooted in the idea of memorializing people who do or have done amazing things but don’t really get enough press for it. They may be mostly unknown to the rest of the world. Students pulled their ideas from many places including family members, inventors, muscians, and mentors. Students were asked to create a portrait of this person while considering techniques, materials and surfaces to help create meaning in their work.
Student responses in various states of completion.
